One part of Cobb County stayed the tightest by supply and speed
These numbers cover the three months ending July 31, 2026. That is the period to keep in mind as you read.
Nationally, Redfin reported that 21% of U.S. sellers cut their asking prices in the four weeks ending September 20. That is up from 19.8% a year earlier. Mortgage rates also surged above 7% for the first time since January 2025, according to Realtor.com. That is the backdrop for Cobb County right now.
Inside Cobb County, though, not every ZIP moved the same way. One stood apart on supply and speed: ZIP 30062.
ZIP 30062 had the tightest supply in the county
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted just 2.8 months of supply in ZIP 30062. Every other ZIP in Cobb County sat higher. That means buyers there had fewer homes to choose from, relative to demand.
For sellers, less supply is a real advantage. But it does not mean every price works. The median sale price in 30062 dipped 3.5% year over year, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Pricing still matters.
Speed: more than a third went under contract within two weeks
The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 35.3% of homes in ZIP 30062 went under contract within two weeks of listing. That tied ZIP 30068 for the highest rate in the county. Buyers in 30062 needed to be ready to move.
Even so, that share was down 1.1 points from a year ago, the Real Estate Data Aggregator noted. Speed is still real, but it eased a little.
Above-list sales: 30062 led the county
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 31.5% of sales in ZIP 30062 closing above list price. That was the highest of any ZIP in the county. It also rose 2.3 points from a year ago, the only ZIP where that share went up by a meaningful amount.
